Bring the principles into your work
Explore Acalia’s approach to listening, consent, pacing and the client experience, then apply what fits within your existing professional scope under your own business name.
Acalia · Practitioner training in development
We are developing a way for qualified practitioners to learn Acalia’s client-centred approach and bring its principles into their own practice. A separate path may allow some practitioners to work under the Acalia name.
We are speaking with practitioners while the programme takes shape. Training is not yet open for enrolment.
01 / The approach
Acalia is a women-focused massage and sound ritual brand. Its practice begins by listening: to how someone arrives, what feels comfortable, and what they need from the time they have set aside.
In a session, that might mean asking about pressure and areas to avoid before starting, checking comfort as the work continues, and offering sound only if the client wants it. The proposed learning programme would explore how practitioners carry those choices through an unhurried client experience. Each practitioner would use only techniques they are already trained and permitted to provide.
Explore Acalia’s methodology02 / The person shaping it
Kat (Ekaterina Duginova) works in body and face massage in Lisbon. Her practice has helped shape Acalia’s emphasis on listening, comfort and choice. She is helping define the approach that a future practitioner programme would teach.
Her role in the eventual programme, and any teaching team, will be confirmed as the curriculum is developed.
Read about Kat and her approach03 / Two possible pathways
The independent practice path is the starting point. Working under the Acalia name would require a separate discussion and agreement.
Explore Acalia’s approach to listening, consent, pacing and the client experience, then apply what fits within your existing professional scope under your own business name.
For suitable practitioners or business owners, a later conversation could cover further training, quality standards and a written licence to use the Acalia name. This is a separate decision.
04 / Programme status
05 / Who we hope to meet
We would like to hear from people with existing massage or bodywork training who are interested in learning the Acalia approach, whether they run their own practice or might one day work under the Acalia name.
Already have a venue or business and want to collaborate under your own name? Explore partnerships instead.
06 / The first steps
There is no application fee or commitment at this stage. We are learning what practitioners need while the programme is developed.
Share your training, location and which pathway interests you.
If there may be a fit, we will arrange a conversation about your work and the direction of the brand.
We will discuss the proposed training path and, if relevant, the separate possibility of practising under the Acalia name. Any future terms would be set out in writing.
